Two people, one board. Red moves first from the bottom; pass the device after each move. The game knows the rules, so it only allows legal moves and makes every jump that must be made.
Checkers for two, on one screen
This board is for playing checkers with someone sitting next to you: a grandchild, a partner, a friend at the kitchen table. Red starts at the bottom of the screen and moves first; black starts at the top. After each move, hand the device over or turn the tablet around.
The game knows the rules, so there are no arguments: it only allows legal moves, insists on jumps when one is available, and crowns a piece as soon as it reaches the far row. If someone makes a mistake you both agree to take back, press Undo.
Good to know
- The board does not turn around between moves. The player at the top can sit across the table and read the board upside down, the way you would with a real set.
- The game in progress is saved on this device, so you can finish it later.
- Playing alone? Try the computer opponent on easy, medium or hard.
New to the game? The rules, with pictures, are under the board on the checkers page. They take five minutes to read.
